The first part of the day focuses on traditional food production and local cheeses before the itinerary continues towards Domodossola.
From here, the panoramic railway crosses Val Vigezzo — also known as the Valley of the Painters — towards Santa Maria Maggiore, combining mountain scenery with a slower way of travelling through the region.

10:00 AM – The Art of Cheesemaking. Meet directly at the selected farm or use an optional private pick-up service. Visit a traditional agricultural estate in the Ossola area, meet the producer and discover the techniques used to create fresh, matured and traditional mountain cheeses.
12:00 PM – Authentic Ossola Tasting Lunch. Enjoy a tasting lunch centred on the farm’s cheeses and seasonal local specialities. Water, regional wine and coffee are included.
Afternoon – Journey on the Scenic Railway. Travel to Domodossola using your own vehicle or the optional private transfer service. Board the panoramic train and travel through forests, gorges, historic bridges and Alpine villages towards Santa Maria Maggiore.
Late Afternoon – Village Walk and Return. Explore Santa Maria Maggiore before returning to Domodossola by train. Conclude the experience with an accompanied walk through Domodossola’s historic centre.
