This Biella wine weekend offers a flexible two-day escape in one of the most authentic and lesser-known areas of northern Piedmont.
The basic package includes one night in a selected three-star hotel in or near the historic centre of Biella, with breakfast and complimentary parking. On the first day, you will visit a selected Lessona winery and enjoy a guided Alto Piemonte wine tasting of approximately five wines accompanied by local products.
The rest of the weekend can be enjoyed independently and at your own pace. You can explore Biella, its medieval district of Piazzo and the surrounding villages, or customise your Piedmont wine experience with cultural visits, gastronomic activities and transport services available on request.

Day 1
Arrival in Biella and Lessona Winery Experience

Show Day 1 Details
Arrive independently in Biella using your own vehicle. The hotel address, parking instructions and final winery appointment time will be provided after the booking is confirmed.
If the winery visit is scheduled before the hotel’s standard check-in time, luggage storage and early access to the parking area will be subject to the hotel’s availability.
Travel independently to Lessona for a visit to a selected local winery. During the experience, you will discover the estate, the characteristics of the Lessona DOC area and the main stages of wine production and ageing.
The visit is followed by a guided Alto Piemonte wine tasting of approximately five wines accompanied by typical local products. The tasting does not replace a full meal.
After the winery experience, return to Biella, check in at the hotel and enjoy a free evening. Lunch and dinner are not included.

After a sweet and savoury buffet breakfast at the hotel, enjoy the second day at your own pace.
You can explore Biella’s historic centre and the medieval district of Piazzo, or travel independently to the Ricetto di Candelo and other places in the surrounding area.
Cultural visits, gastronomic activities, a traditional lunch or additional experiences can be arranged separately on request and are subject to availability.
Independent departure in the afternoon or evening.
Accommodation
The Biella wine weekend includes one night in a selected three-star hotel located in or near the historic centre of Biella.
Accommodation is provided in a double or twin room, according to the guests’ preference and the hotel’s availability. The package price is calculated per person and is based on two guests sharing the same room.
A sweet and savoury buffet breakfast and complimentary hotel parking are included. The exact parking instructions will be provided after the booking is confirmed.
Check-in and check-out will follow the hotel’s scheduled times. Early check-in, luggage storage, single rooms and room upgrades can be requested but are subject to availability and may involve an additional charge.
Any applicable tourist tax must be paid directly at the hotel.

The standard Biella wine weekend is offered on a self-drive basis. Guests travel independently to Biella, the selected Lessona winery and any optional activities using their own vehicle.
Private transport can be arranged separately on request, including transfers from Biella railway station, airports or other cities, and a chauffeured car or van for the winery visit. The service will be quoted according to the departure point, number of passengers and required journeys.
